Operation 49er
Operation 49er is what our platform is called because we want to empower all students so that all students can have the total 49er experience. The 49er experience is all about creating traditions, building bridges between organizations and the student body, and have the backing of the Charlotte community as well. Every student that passes thru UNC Charlotte will not only experience what being a 49er is all about but will also be able to leave his or her mark.
School Traditions
We want to establish school spirit and traditions with the help of the student body in order to differeniate us from other schools. Not only will that make us proud 49ers but the establishment of school spirit and traditions will be great for sport outings.
Student Government Association & The 49ers
The Student Government Association is made by you for you. We represent your needs, concerns and worries. Your voice counts and with this election it will be heard the loudest. In the past the student body has not been a priority for the Student Government Association but this coming school year it is all about the voice of the 49er. Your needs will be our concerns, your worries will be our voice.
Presence in the Charlotte community
We want to create a strong bond with all of the Charlotte community. Not only is UNC Charlotte growing but the city as well and we want to embrace all that it brings. From being able to obtain internships in the Financial district to volunteering at homeless shelters, we need to let the Charlotte community know that we the 49ers are here.
The 49er Involvement
Everyone doesn't always belong to Greek Life, SGA, or an organization but we want all 49ers to get involved on campus. Our plan is to create events and programs thru SGA where the diverse UNC Charlotte student body can come together and create a better relationship among each other. We have such a diverse student body that we all could benefit from the uniqueness of it.
